I captured THE SOUND again.
You have to listen through until nearly the end.
I mention in the video how he's pecking at his feet. I noticed, when I wasn't filming, that if I curled in my head or looked at my feet in response to him doing that... well, I thought he liked it. I think that maybe it reaffirmed to him a kind of... agency? A connection? Communication? That we are... inhabiting the same sphere of being, if you like. Crone and the Crow.
Today it really wasn't about food. I got talking (and, you may know, I can talk... a lot) with two ladies and their dogs (Eddie and Wilma) about the crows. All the time, CD stayed with me. ALL THE TIME.
I sat on the ground and we just convened for a while - even when people and their dogs walked past - you can see their shadows.
At one point, he came the closest he has ever come to me. I didn't want to scare him by getting out the camera, so there is no evidence of that. But, still, what a very wonderful Crow Friend I have.
Oh, you can see on this picture that he seems to have developed some upwardly mobile head feathers. I first saw this a few weeks ago. Not sure what that's about.
