I hadn't been to the park for two days. Only one crowed showed in the morning of my return to peanut duty. But in the afternoon the brave three (two of them are braver than the third and one is the bravest) came pretty close to me.
One of the jays continued eating at the bird feeder while I was outside. This is a real show of courage. The jay has very large eyes and a still fluffy head. Very sweet.
Meanwhile, Gifts of the Crow is giving me rather more in the way of gifts related to corvid neurology than I wanted or needed. But there are some wonderful reports of talking corvids.
While I was meditating I imagine the crows taking peanuts from my hands. Landing on my shoulder. How I long for feathered friends.
