The robins.
Now this, and the one on the front, is Tane. That asymmetrical marking, with the shark's took whiteness to the left of his breast.
I don't think these are Tane. Definitely not the first one. The second may be - with the shark's tooth widened as the breast is puffed out. The third... I think it was Garden Robin...
So who is Garden Robin? I thought that was the one in the first image above and I thought that this was Chestnust. BUT there is another with an asymmetrical breast and the divide to the right of the breast. I have photographed both that one and the first one, with the nice, even, rounded central divide and referred to both as Garden Robin, AKA Chestnut.
Of course, there were others - Tiny, Tapdance, and Ash. So the two who are not Tane could be any of them, it's just that I don't see them often enough to really get a fix on who is who.
The round-breast one does seem shy - and I think that this is the one who chases Tane away. The right-breast one will occasionally come closer to me, and I have a suspicion that this one is female. I think it is right-breast robin who whistles. Today, there was a robin whistling, and two robins (I assume Tane and Garden Robin) tut-tutting from either side. Then GR chased RtB away.
But, it could be that Garden robin is RtB and the stranger is round-breast. I just don't know.
What a puzzle!
