A nice marking on a holly tree in a cemetery I visited when, well, killing time before my boxing class. The holly also had a pretty impressive burr.

I was happy to see a dignified senior ash, who looked pretty well considering the prevalent dieback in this species.

There were two more very cool things in this 'hood. Firstly, I love how the trees are growing out of the graves.
Maybe this is where the idea of the dead coming back to live idea originates? That one on the right is really making the most of the gravestones.
And then, the wall art outside.
The art - there are many of these funky chickens about my town - is done by Binty Bint. I think it began as a cool way to individualise a rubbish bin!
Incidentally, one Caroline Chisholm was buried in the graveyard. She cared for female immigrants in Australia and is lauded there. Turns out, my cousin knows her great-granddaughter.
Good holly & ash tree pics. And I like those trees (slowly but surely) slurping up the gravestones!!
