I think I know...

...where the robins are nesting!

That is the nestbox I put up... last year, I think. And the female has built her own nest inside it! The male is taking her food.

I am not going to film the nest and in fact I am trying very hard not to look at it. But when the male has food he stands outside and they speak to each other very quietly!

I have seen them both out of the nest together - and I think the female is one I have seen before with like a lightning bolt on her chest. Asymmetric, like Tane, but even more so. However, my glimpses are certainly not conclusive evidence. And it doesn't matter.

I just hope that the neighbour cat can't reach them. I don't think it can. And the corvids? I don't think they could get at the eggs. Squirrels? Oh, there is so much to worry about!!
