Kairos on Earth-centrism

More acorns have fallen. They litter the ground.

There are so many that the squirrels don't even bother to finish them.

I also noticed, perhaps for the first time, the Goddess's signature mark. I had come up on her from behind, as it were. It was funny: I experienced a vast compassion as though I saw her vulnerability. This is odd as on the other side she has that huge hollow, with really is a vulnerability. But, even so,

Anyway, the talk with Kairos went something like this. It's mainly Kairos talking.

Earth. Human. Humus. Humble. Home.

Look up to beseech: the desire for things to be what they are not. Look down in gratitude: to celebrate things being what they are.

It is earth where you are most connected, not sky. The view from above is abstract as well as focused, atomizing as well as having this ethereal quality. It is a place of great confusion if you are not careful.

The view from down here is the in-among-it reality. Sure, you go up and see it's one small planet where we all influence each other, but it's only here that you feel it. That's why I take the sun's energy to the earth rather than taking the Earth's energy to the sun, because it's here that life matters- is mattered.

The energy of light and thought and consciousness have a role to play, and the role they have to play is in in this mattering of life. This is the arena of connection and collaboration, and coexistence and conflict and compromise and cooperation, and killing and being born and dying.

You have to come back down. And that's why she told you not to speak to the birds. The trees, me, have this place in the in between and so does the hare- a liminal being. Between day and night.

As for the stones- it's about matter, the foundation and the fulfilment. Alpha and Omega.

This here around you is the miracle- not the thought. But the thoughts, which lead your kind so often astray in that up-there light of consciousness- do have a role- The role is to enrich mattering. Everything is about enriching mattering.

That's why it's not counter intuitive that right hemisphere is about embodiment as well as connection or Gestalt.

You humans are between earth and sky, the air and the soil, to bring them together, not to prefer one above the other. And if you are to prefer then it is always the earth, for this is home and there is no other.

I ask where we have gone wrong and Kairos answers “By leaving the trees.”

So, you see: it's not really about the light. Or, at least, not in the way we usually think about it.
