Keeping a careful lookout

On my returns home from London, the blue tits seemed to be keeping a very low profile.

The blackbirds still seemed to be busy - Ms, rather than Mrs, B and her mate.

While the little scarfaced robin also appeared to have a great need for forage.

And at least one fledgling has been out and about.

This is not a robin but a dunnock. I think.

And then there are the squirrels.

All three images, bar the top right, show a lactating female. She was chased off, surprise, surprise, buy the male.

And that lovely sight of the jay. So far to see them. They keep watch of me from the trees and don't fly into view until I go!

Good to see the folks. Yes the fledglings look similar. Is it the one jay that you catch glimpses of?

Replying to

There seems to be a family - recently it's the kids who look at me, the parents keep their distance.
