Roosting

I have a cold. Today was my Leanne-training day, and that was in the afternoon. I spent the morning inside doing AI and working on a rewrite of my Kairos paper.
After visiting Leanne, I went for a stroll and some fresh air.
I disturbed rooks and jackdaws who formed flocks, separated, coalesced with calls eerie and questioning.

I disturbed a brown hare too, who raced along the hedgeline and over the brow of the hill. And when I entered a copse, I disturbed six or seven red kites who wheeled and swooped across the great slopes of the sky.
A different roost, for fungal bodies in a huge decaying ash felled many moons ago.

And then I came home to roost and let the world settle back into stillness.

Glad you got out. Good photos. I like that one of the kite with the forked tail :-)
