So when was the longest day?

People seemed to be suggesting that the 20th was the solstice.... but it is the 21st. Confuses me, though, getting solstice greetings before the day. Anyway, this video was from the 20th, not the longest day.

As I was watching those hares (there were three of them), my camera broke. I think the shutter's stuck. So, hassle and expense. I retrieved my other camera from my neighbour, but as it uses different memory cards, even if I can remember how to use it, I can't get at the pictures unless I buy something to transfer the images onto my computer. So that is all very annoying.

In the meantime, the confusion continues in the garden as to which robin is which - if I see an adult robin. Yesterday a baby was very present, but I have not seen it today.

In the hot weather, I seem to miss seeing the robins. The blackbirds and starlings are about, but the robins seem to be in hiding. Or dead.
