The strangeness of things

This is from Clare. She says she sees magpies riding sheep nearly every day.
This is from my garden. What ARE these bugs???
In the wood, I stopped to listen and watch a tree flashing and flaring with life: tits and treecreepers, flittering and cheeping. Then I heard someone behind me.
After I stopped filming, to mouse played rough and tumble with a leaf.
And finally, the dragonfly - who looks like a robot when she moves her head.

Wow! Great selection. The magpie reminds me of those African birds who ride around on hippos & rhinos. All those wee things in your garden are too small for me to hazard a guess. The mouse looks in good shape - nicely chubby & sharp-eyed. I LOVE the wonderful strangeness of dragonflies. This one perched and stayed in place for you. The eyes! And wings!
