Following from yesterday's misery, which is still there, some things that make me actually happy.
Lambs.
This one was so new that the mother was still shedding the placenta.
Big old oak trees.
My poplar.
By the way, some of the cuttings in my garden bear the sweet scent of lemon sherbet and and others smell like Play-Doh. On the other side of the copse, with the poplar buds out, the air is like sweetened Play-Doh.
The lemon sherbet is the first, the Play-Doh the one on the right.
Great photos sent to me by Dave.
Finding mammal tracks.
That's a badger.
And, most of all, crows.
Here's the Unbrave Three - who shared their food with not one but six pigeons.
As ever, Four saw me first. She flew over, looking super-straggly, and proceeded to TALK!!! Like CD used to! Click-click-click-click CRA-A-A-A-AK! And when I replied, she responded! Again and again!! I pointed the phone at her and she obliged. Shame I didn't press record.
My heart felt so full. I was so happy.
