A slight downturn

So, I have run the last two days, but they have been notably short runs. My excuse one day was that I was heading into London and time was limited. I did some walking in the big city, but not a lot. Then, the next day, I decided to do another short one and some yoga. That I did, but the short one was very short and the yoga was somewhat half-hearted.
I was, it has to be said, a bit tired.
It's not, I suppose, the worst thing in the world.
And, on the run, I had a chance to appreciate the corvids.
My greatest wisdom may have arisen t'other night, incidentally. OK, here goes: to accept something does not mean that you necessarily feel good about it. In fact, you can accept something (like, for example, my horse history) and still feel positively bad about it.
I think we mistake acceptance for emotional positivity, but it doesn't even mean neutrality!
This, to me, is a very helpful, if not very cheering, realisation.
