Cold and bright

Well, not so bright when the sun goes down... maybe that should have said 'cold and clear' or 'cold and mostly clear'.

I've been trying to keep up the AI hours and as there are sometimes pauses, I have been doing this before I head out. Given the sleep issues, late mornings and extravagantly long periods spent squatting in the garden watching the birds, that means there is not much daylight left by the time I head out.

There was frost still on the ground this afternoon, but it was well above 0. Even so, I felt cold and had many layers on for my trot. Twice I passed (we were doing the reverse route) two ladies out walking. One in her sixties, the other I think edging towards her eighties. Keep going, the older woman said. I thought, well, you don't look that sprightly yourself, ma'am. Though, in honesty, I was impressed by her.

I passed the poplar and the Copse Oak. Didn't stop. Too cold. I was listening to the start of The Starless Sea, recommended by my friend Francesca. I think I like it.

I rather wish I could buck myself up and find some purpose.

Still. The sky is pretty.

I'm always happy when you take photos of your outings. The sky and the clouds and the moon are all very pretty. And it's interesting who you meet/ cross paths with. Well ... I've reserved The Starlight Sky from my library, so have the chance to listen for free. It sounds rather dreamlike, so may be good to listen to as I drift off to sleep at night ... Thanks for mentioning it.
