Comparisons

Oh Lord, I have forgotten that saying... comparisons are evil? egregious? Darn. This happens. Sometimes I think it's early onset dementia. ODIOUS!!! That's it!
Anyway, you saw there on the front page my heron. And here, my tern with fish.

Really, it IS a tern and it DOES have a fish.
So, now fill your books with Dave Jackson's photographs.
OK, I know: he has much more experience and better kit. But he also has a great eye and he invests time, effort and energy into it.
Looking through these is a delight. I suggest you spend a good half hour in a state of visual enchantment, while I wallow in the odium of comparison.

Well ... I've been looked through all of Dave's "Birds" folder and it's almost been 30 minutes. So I've only made a start! And I've bookmarked the site for an easy return to check out the other categories. It seems insufficient for me to pick out a couple of favourites because all are beautiful. I did make a note of the European bee eater, and the pink backed pelican in the Gambian folder (all the Gambian birds were new to me). I'm from East Coast Canada so it was interesting to see that I recognized some of the Icelandic birds. Dave - your photos are (as Issy said) delightful. And your web site is nicely designed. Thank you.
