They have a voracious appetite for light

Crows claw brilliance behind black feathers

Absorbing radiance, sequestering luminescense Scraping dry the honey-pot sky with long fingered wings

All glory, glitter, gleam and glow gathered within, kept below

While they, coal-black, oil smooth, anthracite-plumed

Silhouettes

Caw, climb and swoop, sowing shadows

In the sun-starved air

Crows - not thieves but treasurers - weaving in jet

The star-spun wonders of the diamond day

LOVE this!! Great first line. And that "Honey pot sky"! And "glory, glitter, gleam and glow gathered"! And "anthracite plumed". And "sowing shadows" and on ... Wow!
