Deal with what is now now

On my way around the wood, I received a work related email that upset me. I dashed to Kairos who accepted my emotional state and curled up in my usual spot to cry. Once I was there. On the soil, next to the tree, I felt kind of OK. And those words were what came to me, Fears about the future, thoughts about what someone may or may not think of me, resentment about a situation that I am not currently in... it's all NOT HERE NOW.
NOW was embers. A reminder of light in the darkness.
There is something unutterably consoling about lying on the earth. About a familiar tree. About the subdued sounds of autumn birds and the crack as branches knock together in the breeze. Wind through leaves and acorns falling. The sound of silence? The sound of a now where nothing is really wrong. That's enough.

I'm glad you found comfort and acceptance with Kairos. Lovely images of where you were lying. "Not Here Now" - wise and helpful words. Thank you.
