Dining out

Harry and Marianne live in Breukelen, which is a lovely small town - and the origin for the name of the New York area Brooklyn.
The first day, I walked the 25 minute route to the station, for the train to Utrecht. On the way back, with Harry, he wheeled his bike to "the tree". This.... I am not sure what tree it is... fell in a storm and so is horizontal, the trunk, anyway, but the new shoots reach up. I think it fell many years ago.
We had dinner and then cycled home - with me on the back of Marianne's bike!
The next day, I cycled to the station with Harry. I think it was the first time I had cycled since 2010. The Dutch have their seats so high that you have to pedal before you sit - as your feet don't touch the ground on the seat! I was a little anxious - and anxious about the "back brake" too. I wasn't sure I'd manage to stop without falling over. I did, but was glad not to have to cycle again. That said, I know now why Dutch women have such good legs. And men, I suppose.
That evening, I traveled on the train then Saskia's car (we got a bit lost) and we walked to a different restaurant. On the way home, the sky was sensational and I met a very friendly goat who let me scratch his head.
Check out the last picture - I moved and there is a glorious "ghost tree"!

Wow - yes, the Ghost Tree!! And also liked your brave adventures cycling ... 🚲
