A delight to see two robin chicks following Tane into the back lilac, where he fed them from the special feeder.

I am pretty sure there were just two. The sweetest thing was hearing him "talk" to them.
He seemed rather proud, but also understandably anxious.
Later, the cat was sitting on next door's roof and I could hear Mrs B shouting at him for almost an hour. This is part of it: it's not just losing chicks to cats, it's the energy birds have to invest. A well fed cat can sit there for ages.
I could hear other cheeps and I think the wrens, tits, and/or dunnocks may have broods - as well, perhaps, as the blackbirds.
Wonderful Wonderful about the robins and all the bird families activities 💙💚💛
