I know

Yes, obsessed by both the robin and by taking pictures of the robin. But how often will I get so close to a wild creature? And the way the evening sunlight fires up his red breast!

There was a little group of long-tailed tits in the garden. They are downy puff-balls.

And I tried to snap a gull flying overhead.

Tried being the operative word here.

It seems now that the gulls as well as the crows know where I live. It was almost impossible for the corvids to get anything when I went to the park as a flock of gulls followed my every move. And in the one place they don't go, the fat squirrel does.

Neighbouring robins have been causing Bobbit some grief - especially when it was very cold. I wonder if one particular interloper ("Tiny") is a female. That would be nice. This is Tiny.

I think that there are singing males north and south and perhaps also this other tiny one... but I am not sure.

Talking of tininess, there is one especially tiny blue tit, who seems even smaller than the coal tit. But that bird made it through the cold snap.

The fox may be back, but still no rat sightings. My neighbour will be happy.

What wonderful photos!! I am entranced by the pattern of feathers on the top of Bobbit's head. Reminds me of a herringbone pattern. And good photo of the puffy fluffy tit.... I'm sorry that the crows are being out-maneuvered by gulls & squirrel.
