Never refuse an offer to sit on a goat

These scenes - the one at the front and this one - they could be paintings, no?

My conference trip to Amsterdam was great. I had a lovely room in a very cool hotel, where the resident cat, Amy, was very amenable.

They had lovely live music on my last night.

I saw two friends and discussed a project on the first night. That was great. Then Danielle Celermajer gave a talk on the second, after I had spent the day wandering and photographing.

I sat on a goat.... the plaque in front of the sculpture suggested that people should do this. I'd never refuse an opportunity to sit on a goat.

And there was a TURTLE in the pond!

As for my presentation, it went well! Long live BADGERS! More to the point, the other speakers were fascinating and very pleasant people, notable Stacy Banwell and Kerstin Weich.
