Night and day

Writer's picture: CroneCrone

After putting out my camera by a leaf and getting 200 films of a moving leaf and flat batteries, I gave up for a while. What's more, Adam, two doors down, who used to watch the foxes running along his back wall, told me he hadn't seen them for ages. That confirmed my view that the neighbour's tabby ate all the cat/fox food.

Proof.

That cat appears as soon as I lay out the food. I see her when I stay in the garden. She hurries up and screeches to a stop when she sees me. She should learn to listen for me going in as well as coming out. I'm sure she's capable of that.

Still. The hog was able to hog the peanuts.

This one came after the hedgehog had finished. I have seen him before on the trail cam. I wonder if he is a stray?

The morning brought different visitors. Winged ones... and a squirrel determined to be the star of the show!

Magpies eat fledglings... So I am glad that at least one robin made it through. The little guy I videoed on my phone in yesterday's post. He ate close to me again today. As did the centre-of-attention squirrel. Who ate for so long that I got cramp in my legs, had to stand up and scared the bejeesus out of him.
