This is as good as it gets when it comes to photographing Chestnut these days.
Shit, right? And the tits are as tricky.
At least his 'ickle face is in focus.
These photos are cropped to about an inch of their life.... as it were... Even with that big lens, the one that costs a month's work, it wouldn't be much better given all the leaves in the way. Maybe things will get a little easier when all the leaves have fallen. Mind you, the birds and squirrels are being especially wary at the moment. I wonder if I feed them so much that they just don't feel the need to take the slightest risk?
The jays and the magpies occasionally fly in - but as soon as they see me, they're off. The pigeons and the starlings don't give me a look in. And of course there's the ongoing issue of Tane.
maybe I need to channel some of this photography energy into trying some painting again? Well, today I tried writing some words on a piece of paper, words that come to me when I think of Kairos. The plan then is to add colour... not immediately over the words, but rather, to add colour to try to access the feelings that way. I don't know. But I think I need to do something.
Hey, I like the sound of you getting back to experimenting on paper. Enjoy 😃🎨 p.s.It reminds me of a workshop online that I took last week. It was about expanding the definition of what makes a poem by experimenting with form. What you said you were doing would be an example!!
