The tits are still less numerous than they were in the spring. But the coal tit pair still visit. I managed a lovely close up video of this one, but sadly deleted it.
One female blackbird comes as soon as I put out food.
But there are actually two of them.
I have seen rather less of the males.
As for the dunnocks, on 11th August, as I write, Lopsy and Baldy still look rather pathetic
Briefly, I thought Lopsy was getting better. For sure the eye is more visible, but the growth is still there. She continues to eat, though, and that has to be a good sign.
Starlings, pigeons and occasionally the jays visit. The pied wagtail returned the other day.
The fox, not a bird, I know, hasn't visited for a few nights. But on one occasion I did see the hog - and this is a pretty large hedgehog.
My little trees are all alive - as is the new one from Psyche, my original poplar - so that's good. And I have plans to tackle some of the extreme growth come October, when the Paralympics and the trip to Austria are done and dusted.
Good to get the report. It's fun watching the blackbird go after the blackberries!!
