Fortunate are those who live in watery places.
You can see how big the koi carp are. This duck took exception to them and gave one a peck to protect her ducking!
They are not the prettiest fish, but they are smart: they, like the ducks and geese, come over to people standing by the side of the water in the hope of treats. The fish, that is, not the humans.
I'm very fond of the moorhen chicks. Moorhens have such interesting feet. There are usually six or seven geese here. A man told me they all hatched here last year. On this occasion, there were just two.
And the best bit: crows bathing!
So much going on! I'm glad the duck was looking after her kid!
