Stranger danger

The whole robin situation gets more confusing by the day.
See this chap? Or chappess. Singing loud and proud just across the hedge? It's not Tane.

Maybe it is Mrs Tane? Tapdance. I don't think so, looking at the breast. Oh who the hell knows?
One thing has been resolved, thanks to a YouTube comment: when the mates are courting, and the male is feeding the female, the female does this peeping sound - and I have heard that between Tane and the female. Though Tane might be the female. Oh bugger.
Anyway, I am not seeing much more than glimpses at the moment. It seems that Tane is back where he (she?) was when the visits were rushed and worried, as though this is not his (her?) territory any more. I wondered if Tane had moved toward where the mate's territory is?
Since that garden visitors post, it has all been disappointingly quiet. Only the sweet dunnocks are regular. And the wary wagtails.
I go out so hopeful... three times a day... looking... whistling... calling... waiting... and maybe I get the briefest visitation.
Often I just see Tane next door.

And sometimes catch a glimpse of Mrs.

Often, Tane follows her into the garden, it seems. But while she avoids me, and especially the camera, he will fly close, land close, unless I have scared her away. So, I have resisted the temptation to film in order to just attend to Tane.
Spring's an exciting time for all of you!! 🐦⬛
