The feeder

When Tane was hopping about on one leg, I made him a special feeder which I hung in the back lilac. It has been very popular and has demanded a few upgrades over the past weeks.

But its adoption by the increasingly confident squirrel did was the signal for the end of its usefulness.

See, the food slipped inside and that led to the squirrel eating through the plastic and duct tape to access the food. It was an ongoing repair job.

I have now chucked the gnawed plastic. BUT don't you worry about the birds lacking that extra feeder. The one that fell off the conservatory window, repeatedly, has been repurposed as a hanging feeder. And I ordered another one. Before I realised that I could repurpose the window one.

Anyway, what else can I tell you about the life and times of the Crone? Not a great deal as I have been working, sleeping, or distracted for the past week.

Oh. I really wanted to visit the trees here. In fact I'd like a dirty weekend there. NO! Not like that! Their dirty weekends are weekends working on the site. But £795? I can't pay that now that I am approaching penury. If I had one little wish, though, it would be the gift of a dirty weekend at Cabilla.

Ah well. Kairos. I always have Kairos.

The ongoing tale of the squirrel & the feeders. I love the squirrel's expression. A nobility even. The determination.

And I'm not sure what to say about the pricey dirty weekend. But yes indeed you'll always have Kairos/Paris.

p.s. I do enjoy your Crone posts very much. Grin.
