There are no unsacred places;

there are only sacred places

and desecrated places.

As I needed to survey the beech near the ruined church, I went back for a visit.

There's some graffiti on a wall, which is a shame, but I enjoyed my time there. I listened to the birds and to the spring - for the first time it's flowing noticeably.

The young oak looked great but I was a little worried about some dying foliage on the conifers. While I was looking at the sequoia, a family came and all had their picture taken by the tree. They sounded eastern European. Said they love this place, and especially the giant tree.

I was taken with the bark again!

I actually took a lot more pictures, but I'll spare you... though I liked this little plant growing in a broken branch.

Yes I like the little green plant on the broken branch. And the butterfly on the wall. And the cracks, patterns in the middle bark photo. Is the "giant tree" the beech? I imagine it's a lovely place to visit.
