Every early winter, I cut back the pelargoniums so they are dormant over the cold period. I must have failed to chop off enough as a couple of them have kept flowering.

This is despite the fact that the heater which is meant to only turn on to prevent the conservatory getting too cold seems to have lost its thermostat ability and has been switched off all winter.
I hope this doesn't cause them any harm.
The citrus plant enjoyed a long period outside. I think I only brought it in in October. It has little fruits.

I am very happy with this plant as I had to cut it back incredibly hard after a scale insect infestation and I wasn't sure if it would survive. The last one didn't.
If I were a good person, I would grow vegetables in my garden. I'd probably save money. And with no rabbits and deer they might not be eaten... well, apart from by insects.
I am too lazy. Plus I would have to chop so much down and that would make the garden less wildlife-friendly. That said, saving the travel miles of some of my food might be a better contribution to the natural world?
This comes back to my view that we have to accept that whatever we do has costs to someone. It's a matter of minimising them and being honest about them.
