Waves or webs

You've heard all about the wave or particle debate, now how's about the wave or web discussion?
The wave might suggest metaphors of vibration, resonance, energy. It has, at least here, a certain calmness about it... composed. Of course, the peaks and troughs could be higher. The problem with the wave is that it suggests either individuals all in rhythm or a sea, a oneness. There's no divergence. Unless two (or more) waves meet in an interference pattern. Then you have diffraction. That's interesting as diffraction leaves you with some higher and lower peaks and troughs, plus paces where they cancel each other out perfectly. It's a richer metaphor.

What about the web? Now, with a web, you can think of individuals as threads or as nodes connected by threads. Some nodes might be more interconnected. The web has to have threads and nodes, but the threads and nodes are distinct from the web and from each other. I like that idea.
A web can also, as here, catch things. And it can tear. And be repaired. In which case, what is the spider?

A web can be the light in darkness.

I have to do more thinking/ reading about Diffraction !! - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffraction
