p.s. I LOVE pansies. These were just planted recently. I am starting to read all about them in this Wikipedia article.

I have NEVER made lye soap but here's one recipe I found just now.

I named a cow Pansy, but my family renamed her Daisy. She had a calf, Billy. He was slaughtered. That was the last meat I ate.

Growing up on the farm, a lot of our dairy cows had flower names. I think there was a Pansy. What a strong memory for you. Life-changing x
