Briefly....

The crows were eating a dead swan.

There's something so tragic about a dead swan.

Fallen angel.

What makes it worse is that this may be evidence of avian flu. I spoke to a man who said he'd seen many dead geese and swans.

I had seen one dead goose a few weeks back... but I guess I'm not looking hard enough and miss most of the corpses. Or perhaps we have heard of avian flu and instead of thinking, 'Oh, how sad. Dead bird.' we think, 'Jesus, Christ, they are ALL DYING!!!!!'

Whatever the case, my corvid friends know where all the bodies are buried.
