Ends and beginnings

The equinox marks the end of summer. Officially. I had always thought, in line with the celebrations on the 21st of June and 21st of December, that this happened on the 21st of September.
The wise among you will know I was wrong and had been for as many years as I have thought about it. Which is quite a lot of years.
Well. That change of understanding means I need to change my day of Kairos celebrations. Now, most people choose the dawns of these days for their ceremonies. Dawn?? What the hell is that? I've been awake until it far more often than I have been awake before it in recent years. I know that dawns are nice. Uplifting, even. Inspiring. But, well, they are bloody EARLY.
The further complication is that should I celebrate the dusk before or after the dawn? I think the weather forecast might determine that.
Endings. Dusk is much better. But, of course, this date also marks the beginning of autumn. Tell that to the sycamores who have been sporting their new season fashions for a while already.

Wishing you a Happy Equinox 🍁🍂
