The cygnets have not disappeared! Today I saw all three of them grooming on the shore, guarded by one parent, while the other swan around further out.
And, the Divines do have three fledglings of their own - the three with them today did not, I am almost sure, include the scruffy-necked Four.
The one in the background is the white-wing fledgling that I mentioned before as trying to eat with the Driveways and getting chased away. But it came to eat with the Divines and they did not chase it away - it just seems more flighty AND more adventurous... a strange mix!
I saw the Flyings then Divo ran over to me for his extra portion! On the way out, I saw the Driveways. One of them was the bravest he's ever been - landing on the ground before I had thrown out the food and walked away!
Hurrah about the cygnets! Another interesting crow report :-)
