Itchy feet

I don't have itchy feet. Occasionally smelly, yes; itchy, no. However, I have purchased flights - yes, I know, hypocrite - to Austria for the conference next month. I had to fit in with work and that didn't allow me the luxury of spending two days getting there and two getting back.
Talking of feet, I purchased walking boots for the trip as I hope to get to Thayatal National Park.
And talking of itchy, check out this squirrel in the park.
I must say that I empathise. After forgetting that warm weather means biting insects, I failed to cover myself in chemicals and have four or five very itchy spots. Badgers and hedgehogs scratch a lot: fleas and lice, I guess. As well as mange at times. Not sure if hogs get that. It made me wonder at animal lives. The itches: you sort of forget and then feel the tickle and want to scratch and then remember and have that sinking sense that this pattern will repeat again and again for a few days until they wear off. If you're a fox, hunting, I guess you forget, but the rest of the time you'd just keep wanting to scratch. I wonder if they feel that same dismal emotion of the inevitability of mild discomfort or if they just feel the itch?
You've got me scratching too ...
