Mexican orange blossom

It smells really nice.

Here are the things I did today to focus on the polar bear not the black dogs:

I smelt the Mexican orange blossom.

I made a hanging basket (sadly one fuchsia seems unhappy about his relocation from pot to basket).

I focused on the positives from my shit presentation - I learned things and had some ideas to improve my essay, thanks to fellow students.

I hugged a willow and decided willows are female while oaks are male.

I hugged the cats.

I walked with the dog and gave him handful after handful of spring water which his arthritis did not allow him to reach.

I ate sourdough.

I said hello to the new neighbour.

I looked for a kingfisher.

I saw the mother duck and her brood.

I met a ten month old greyhound crossed with Saluki bitch who was a delight and seemed to be called Flim-Flam.

I talked to my dad about sci-fi (Ghost in the Shell).

I tried to imagine what my wild self would paint (a skull with flames coming out the top... hmmmm).

I tried to imagine what my best self would write (why relationships with animals matter... damn, Aysha Akhtar has already written that and I'm reading it.... hmmm).

I felt gratitude to my sweet niece for sending me sleepy pillow spray and a card with two magpies on it.

I tried not to imagine smashing my head against a stone wall.

Oh dear.
