In the wood, turn to catch the hare cantering in and out of cover.
There, the heron on the far bank of the lake, turns from bird into seeming stick,
As the butterfly in the hedge spirals into invisibility
Or as, out of darkness, the cat coalesces, until the night reclaims him.
The eyes catch and lose, catch and lose
Just as the mind, with ideas, dances

I stood with Kairos, touching the birthmarked trunk and thinking of chakras. What is closed and what is open, what flows and what resists. And I looked at the mark and thought of my heart, and how perhaps the tree and me cannot stop the chi from leaking from our hearts.
