The very next day, Tane was back on two feet.
I had been anxious that the food on the ground was dangerous, or perceived to be in a threatening location. So, using "single use plastic" containers and garden twine I created an extra feeder for the back lilac.
In the morning, I watched him eat from it twice and later in the day I was able to see he was back up on two feet.

He still looks a little pecked about the face, but he didn't appear to be favouring one leg at all.
Shame I didn't get the exposure right on these images.
Though they do have a certain something about them... if not as arty as that blue tit one a few days ago.
Later, I managed to photograph him feeding from the "thing".

That's GOOD NEWS about Tane. And the new "thing" is a good idea.
