Singing dunnock!

Actually, he or she was cheeping rather than singing - but it was so good to see a healthy dunnock! Though, sadly, since I returned from Austria I have not seen Lopsy and so I wonder whether he or she has died. I think I saw some dunnock feathers on the steps by the house - near where Flopsy died.
Anyway, on a more cheery note, I have seen the crows and fed all of them across a few visits. One of the loveliest things was a visit in the rain, when I saw Divo walking along with his head tilted upwards, drinking the rain as it fell!
Here is a really bad picture of him.

Another bad picture: Wuji tucked up and ready for bed.

And Tane watching me gardening.

He found one of these and ate it with great gusto.

I was wondering about the dunnocks and the crows. I love imagining Divo drinking the rain! Also surprised and impressed that Tane ate Mama Spider. She looks just like the orb-weaver spiders that are very common here -- we're noticing more than usual this fall and most have grown big!! And that picture of Wuji. his half-closed eyes and his paws, is precious. The bedtime lighting is just right.
