You may recall from my post about Nina and Jungian Coaching that I have three "Guides": Curiosity, Wisdom and Love.
Nina suggested I talk with them. So, I went to the Reserve and sat with the Minerva Oak. The name suggests wisdom, with Minerva being the same as Athena - the one with the owl who's all about wisdom. But in my "vision" Love was like an oak trunk covered in moss, so, well, two birds with one stone, I thought.
This was the tree I sat in and watched a muntjac and then a squirrel scent-marking.
This time I was guided there by a robin and I saw a stoat (or weasel) and a treecreeper.
As for conversation, the message was, fittingly, "There is no Wisdom without Love." Not much else came to me but I did feel happy sitting there.
That the oak is standing in water is kind of relevant as in a subsequent active imagination session, I felt myself pulled into the earth by the roots of the Love Tree and liquefying. That may sound scary but in these visions such experiences are symbolic. I felt a very physical relaxing and letting go as I became liquid. There was a lot more in the vision which I won't bore you with, but it ended with the idea "the heart of an eagle." And, bizarrely, I found something sort of relevant. A woman who made a tree wisdom tarot deck that I had previously come across has a mandala of the heart chakra featuring an eagle. She writes:
The expansive energy of the eagle archetype is felt in the heart chakra, where our physical and subtle body are united as one. Eagle inspires us to live from our hearts and love with no strings attached. When we soar with eagle, we feel the currents of pure energy helping us to see with our heart versus our eyes. - See here.
Yes, well. Maybe.
Lovely.
