Incheumon wasps are prevalent. I saw a small female in late summer; she had a long ovipositor but no stinger so nothing to fear. With the long ovipositor she lays eggs in host caterpillars of moths (each antennae had a white band -- the wasp I saw on the window). The white band helped me i.d.to family: there's no stinger so nothing to fear -- unless you're a moth caterpillar the wasp considers o.k. for parasitism.
