Falco(nry)

I often see the little robin, and often feel he chooses to be quite nearby. But he remains timid.
This afternoon, I pulled down more ivy, in a fit of dedication to the protection of the fabric thing that sits beneath the tiles on the roof. A bit late, I expect, but better late than never. Unless you're a person, in which case being late is much the same as never being. The late Crone posts no posts.
Anyway, he often preens above me in the back lilac. On this occasion, he preempted that by scooting around in the honeysuckle and then squeaking. You can hear the squeak in the middle of this iPhone video.
As for falconry, I got happy because the people I saw at the Woodland Trust day finally emailed me back - my original email had gone into spam. I replied, but no response at all. I tried calling, but the number seemed to be faulty.
Then I decided that I didn't care.
But now I am considering it again, especially from the view of something to write about. No rush though... I will soon be writing about crows and I really should continue my oaken thinking. Everything's rather hit the speed bumps at the moment.
